The Incredible Power of Procrastinating
Procrastinating is something we all (humans) are doing at any or every point in life. Though from that we get very stress and workload, you must have heard of the phrase, old habits die hard. So, you can't help but procrastinate things.
But hold on, what on this great era of the 21st century on the Earth of the Milky Way is PROCRASTINATING?

In simple words, procrastinating is delaying something needlessly. Like when you know you have exams from next month and for that, you go on YouTube for searching for some study-related stuff, to study of course, and you end up watching a product review video! At that moment, your mind's one part tells you that 'Focus on study!' and one tells you that 'You have a whole month left for exams but the product has just come in the market! You need to see what it is, NOW!' And you, like a lost little puppy, go with the stronger other part and obey it.
What happens to the brain at that time? Why does it distract you from doing something and tells you to delay it? Or to be more specific, procrastinate it?
I agree that I'm a procrastinator. Yeah, I am (shocked, right? Yeah, I was too). I delay things needlessly and can't help it! I even didn't know I was procrastinating until one day when I was going through videos on YouTube and found Tim Urban's speech on 'Procrastinators' on TEDx Talks. When I heard it, I was shocked! I mean, who won't be when they just realize they have a bad habit of doing something and it's completely exposed!
Let's take an example to find if you procrastinate too.
This is a graph of a project given and it's due. I have a lot of time to complete it, a whole month. Non-procrastinating mind would assign some bit of work for every day in the month to complete the project within its due. Just like this:
But, procrastinating minds, like mine, would leave the work for the last days of the month to complete it. I know, that creates chaos. But it seems like this:
Whoa. Shocked, right? But that's the reality. The whole three weeks we, procrastinators, feel like there are some more days left. Willingly or not, but that's what happens with us, all. The last week, we have to pull a night over, to complete the project and you have guessed it, the project either goes fail or goes wrong. That's the same thing.
The procrastinator's favorite word is 'tomorrow'. They never do anything today or now. Call it laziness, but that's what it is.
Now, if you realized that you are a procrastinator, and you are scratching your head feeling utter confusion, then that's completely natural. There's no way, or maybe there is but not yet discovered, to change your habit that doesn't make sense. I am unable to shake off this habit until the last minute of getting things done. If that's what happening with you too, then before the time runs out, you've to really think and give a quick thought if you're procrastinating or not.
Give a thought to it today... Or maybe tomorrow. :)
Goodbye, amigos!! See you soon!!
